Fly Fishing School

Hasn't it always been every one's dream to wake up in the morning and actually look forward to going to school? Welcome to our Orvis-Endorsed fly fishing school where the Housatonic River is your classroom. So forget about casting ponds, text books and chalkboards. Our experienced instructors teach you on the river--where the fish live! Learn about equipment and its proper use, practice tying knots, fine-tune your casting with the Orvis Progressive Method and hear what the pros have to say about reading the water. Our program covers the full breadth of fly fishing techniques--dries, nymphs and streams--and introduces you to the basics of all three. We also provide useful information on fly fishing safety as well as the fundamentals of entomology. Who said school can't be fun?
