Breadloaf Mountain Lodge and Cottages, with our historic lodge and five newly-built cottages, can meet all of your accommodation needs. While the lodge is perfect for wedding parties, corporate retreats, sports club gatherings and family reunions, our brand new cottages offer a more private, luxurious setting for those looking to get away from it all. And if your special event requires reserving the entire property, including our beautiful grounds, we are more than happy to do so.

Combining country charm with convenience, our lodge is truly your home away from home while visiting the Litchfield Hills. The original section of the lodge dates all the way back to the 1780's when it was built as a "boarding house". Over its nearly 225 years it has seen time as both a lodging facility (over 100 years) and as a private home. The lodge has been rennovated and modernized countless times (most recent being 2007) over the years but the architecture and charm (including the original wood floors in many of the rooms) have remained. Surrounded by lush and mature gardens and filled with the sounds of the Housatonic River, the Lodge has five bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, living room, dining room and full kitchen. It is the ideal setting for family reunions, wedding parties, corporate retreats and sports club outings. In addition, lodge bedrooms can be rented out individually.

The lodge's deck and gardens have recently undergone renovations, enlarging our outdoor space in order to enhance your event--whether it be a catered lobster bake for 20 or an elegant wedding for 80. Set against a backdrop of spectacular natural beauty, the lodge is a unique and welcoming venue for your next party or get together. And its close proximity to all that our area has to offer insures unlimited possibilities for creating lifelong memories-guaranteed! We offer many options for Connecticut vacation rentals. So pack your bags, bring your imagination and come for a visit--the possibilities are endless!
